GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

School Standards Board

Manor Primary School is part of the GLF multi academy trust. The Trust Board has overall responsibility for the school and has delegated the responsibility to implement and review the school's strategic plans to the School Standards Board for Manor Primary and Aureus Primary Schools.

Further information about governance at GLF Schools

The School Standards Board includes both parent and community governors with a diverse set of skills and expertise. The board meets once per half term and governors also carry out visits to the school. Core responsibilities include:

  • Strategic oversight of the education provision of the School
  • Strategic oversight of compliance of the School with Trust Policies
  • Supporting the Trust Board to ensure good governance across the Trust

James Laurenson, Co- Chair

James joined the Manor Primary School Standards Board in February 2024. With two children attending the school, he was keen to volunteer and contribute to its successful governance. He has a strong interest in STEM, holding a degree and PhD in Chemistry, and currently works as a production scientist at Oxford Nanopore Technologies. In addition, he is a BSI-certified internal auditor for quality management systems. Through his background in science and quality management, James brings analytical and strategic skills to the SSB, supporting the school’s commitment to excellence in education.

 

Puranjay Parchure, Co-Chair

I have been a member of the Aureus Primary (and Manor Primary) Schools SSB since December 2022. I am a Chartered Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, with interests and experience in statistical modelling, financial risk management, business planning and regulatory reporting. I currently work as Pricing & Reinsurance Actuary at NHBC. I am delighted to be part of the SSB, where I can contribute to maintaining excellent academic and safeguarding standards and enhancing the schools' reputation for quality education.

Jaclyn Wiid

Jaclyn Wiid is an experienced educator and dedicated advocate for children's education. With 17 years of teaching experience in UK secondary schools, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role as a parent representative on the School Standards Board (SSB). Currently working for Pearson Education, she is involved in supporting schools with the delivery of qualifications and assessments. Jaclyn is excited to collaborate with the SSB and the community to enhance outcomes and create a brighter future for our children.
