Safeguarding and Child Protection
Safeguarding Statement
Manor Primary School and GLF Schools are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
This means that we have a Child Protection and Safeguarding policy and Procedures in place which can be viewed on our website. All staff (including supply staff, volunteers and School Strategy Board members) must ensure that they are aware of these procedures.
Sometimes, we may need to share information and work in partnership with other agencies when there are concerns about student welfare. We will ensure that our concerns about students are discussed with his or her parents/carers first, unless we have reason to believe that such a move would be contrary to the student’s welfare.
We are mindful of the prevalence of Domestic Abuse and understand that it may be affecting children and families within our school community. We recognise that both victims and witnesses can often feel too fearful to speak out, and we want to reassure families that support is available. If you or someone you know is affected, you can find help through the Oxfordshire Domestic Abuse Service. Alternatively, you are welcome to speak to a member of our safeguarding team, including our dedicated Domestic Abuse Champion, who is here to listen and support you confidentially.
